To stop this, he directed the officials to take actions against the drivers as well as the owners of buses and minibuses.
The government has increased the fares for buses and minibuses by Tk 0.10 per kilometre in Dhaka, Chittagong, Gazipur, Munshiganj, Narayanganj, Manikganj and Narsinghdi with effect from Oct 1.
The minimum fare remained the same – Tk 7 for buses and Tk 5 for minibuses.
